About Leisure Matters
A family-run outdoor activity centre in 80 acres of private woodland. Laser tag, Hyper Shock, mini tanks, archery, axe throwing and rifle shooting for ages 6 and up.
For larger events, hire the whole site and build your own programme of activities.
Our story
Innovative event solutions, in the woods
Leisure Matters runs all its activities from its bespoke site in Warren Heath Woods.
Over the years we have built a dedicated laser tag arena within the woods, a target archery range, covered rifle benches, timber axe-throwing lanes and a mini tank course that takes a genuine beating every weekend.
Our customers come from far afield but primarily from the three counties of Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey.
Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Camberley, Farnborough and Fleet are all a short drive, but we welcome everyone.
What we are actually teaching
More than a good day out
The activities that we run are great fun, and as competitive as you wish them to be. There is something for everyone, for all abilities and for all levels of fitness.
Teamwork
Laser tag requires communication, within twenty minutes even the quietest groups are interacting with each other.
Concentration
Archery and rifle shooting reward the people who wish to slow down. It is the one hour of the week nobody checks their phone.
Discipline
Range commands are not negotiable, and young people pick that up faster than most adults expect them to.
Achievement
Nobody forgets their first bullseye, or the first axe that actually sticks. Those moments are the entire point.
Safety
Taken seriously, without ruining the fun
We run activities involving bows, axes and rifles for children as young as twelve. That only works because the safety side is genuinely rigorous.
- Fully insured for every activity we run and every age group we accept
- Risk assessments available on request for schools and corporate bookings
- Full safety brief before every single session, no matter how experienced the group
- Safety questions at booking for axe throwing and rifle shooting, so please answer them fully
- Weather calls made by our staff; we will contact group organisers as soon as a decision is made
